Chalazion Removal in the Chicagoland Area

This patient presented with a recurrent bump of the eyelid (chalazion), which was removed by making a small incision on the inside of the eyelid and then drained out. This procedure was accomplished without the need to place sutures, therefore eliminating a scar. Healing after this surgical excision is quick and the patient returned to normal activity within one to two days.
