Unhappy With Your Post Cataract Surgery Results?

Up to 50% of cataract surgery patients experience annoying symptoms immediately after their operation, according to Dr. Benjamin Ticho. They may describe dark shadows in their peripheral vision (negative dysphotopsias) or bright halos, flares, arcs, and flashes (positive dysphotopsias).

Fortunately, negative dysphotopsias usually resolve without treatment over the first 4-12 weeks following surgery, Ticho said.

Here at Ticho Eye Associates, we exclusively use (aspheric) lens implants which minimize the occurrence of the more persistent positive dysphotopsias.
